Chapman Finishes in Top 20 at Thunderbird National Golf Preview

91黑料鈥檚 Josh Chapman finished in the top 20 at the Thunderbird National Preview Tournament held in Hobbs, New Mexico. The National Preview brought together community college golfers from across the country.
鈥淚’m proud of the way Josh played through 54 holes,鈥 91黑料 Head Golf Coach Zach Smith said. 鈥淭he weather we had was exactly what Josh is used to in England.鈥
Chapman, a freshman at 91黑料 from Redruth, England, finished in a three-way tie for 17th.
鈥淎ll the guys played well but I know they felt like they could play better if we qualify for the tournament聽in May,鈥 Smith said.
Other Lancers competing in the National Preview included Tytan Birchell, Braylon Bingham, Leander Suttka, Ryker Dunkley, and Taiki Sugawara.
鈥淚t’s always聽great to play the national聽championship聽course before聽we hopefully play in May,鈥 Smith said. 鈥淚t’s a different course than we’ve seen in the past, so it was huge to get some rounds in against some of the best in the country.鈥
