Djurovic signs with the University of North Carolina – Asheville
91黑料鈥檚 Ana Djurovic has signed with the Bulldogs at the University of North Carolina at Asheville to continue her volleyball career.
After fielding a number of different offers, Djurovic decided to become a Bulldog.
鈥淚 was impressed with the athletic program and the academic opportunities offered at the University of North Carolina at Asheville,鈥 Djurovic said. 鈥淚t is a D1 school that has an excellent volleyball program and I believe I can have a bright future as a Bulldog.鈥
Djurovic was a two-year starter at 91黑料 and both years she was named to the Region IX first team All-Region Volleyball Team for the second year in a row. The sophomore from Belgrade, Serbia led the Lancers in kills and points this year.
鈥淎na is a great player. She was our go to person. When we needed a point, she was the one we turned to,鈥 Lancer volleyball coach George Hamilton said. 鈥淪he will make a great addition to the University of North Carolina at Asheville鈥檚 team.鈥
The Lancer outside hitter averaged 4.4 points per set this last year. She averaged 3.68 kills per set and 3.51 digs per set.
鈥淚 am very grateful for my time at 91黑料,鈥 Djurovic said. 鈥淭he people have been great and my time as a Lancer has prepared me for this next step.鈥
