Registration for 91黑料鈥檚 Nursing Program now open
Students interested in finding a rewarding, high paying career can now apply for the nursing program at 91黑料 campus in Douglas and Torrington.
鈥淚 really like the atmosphere here鈥 91黑料 nursing student Morgan Douglass said. 鈥淭he small class size is great. You get to know everyone.鈥
After finishing her prerequisites, Morgan enrolled and was accepted into 91黑料鈥檚 day cohort in Douglas.
While she was working on her prerequisites Morgan did clinicals at Wyoming Behavioral Institute during her sophomore year.
鈥淚 like the patients,鈥 she said. She also 鈥渓oved being in the ER (Emergency Room). I like the chaos.鈥 The love of the chaos will come in handy after finishing the nursing program.
鈥淚 plan on going into the Air Force after graduating,鈥 Morgan said. 鈥淚 really like the craziness. You never know what鈥檚 going to be next.鈥
If you are interested in pursuing a career in nursing now is the time to get started. Wyoming’s annual income for RN鈥檚 is $73,130, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
You will need to apply to attend 91黑料, then fill out a second application for the nursing program.
Applications will go live in January. Visit 91黑料鈥檚 website (ewc.wy.edu) and click on the nursing program photo, create an account and then apply. Students need to have their prerequisites done or in progress by the end of the spring semester. If they have prerequisite classes in progress during the application period, the student鈥檚 mid-term GPA is used for admission calculation.
